Bizet: Carmen DVD (The Royal Opera) 2024

£29.99
Aigul Akhmetshina stars as Carmen alongside Piotr Beczała as Don José in Bizet's passionate tale of love, freedom and obsession.

In a remote Spanish town, the independent Carmen warns that any man who loves her should beware. When she seduces police officer Don José, he abandons his career and the woman who loves him to join Carmen and her band of smugglers. But as José becomes increasingly possessive, Carmen turns her attention to the charismatic toreador Escamillo. Consumed by jealousy, José is driven toward a tragic and violent end.
