A special opening production at the restored Royal Opera House in 1999 of Verdi's Falstaff. The first live broadcast on BBC television in December 1999 brings vibrancy to Verdi's great masterpiece. Bryn Terfel acts as Sir John Falstaff but Barbara Frittoli - as Alice Ford, enriched by the skillfull Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Opera House. Directed by Bernard Haitink in a truly one-of-a-kind production by Graham Vick, set design by Paul Brown.
