To celebrate the Royal Opera House’s participation in Pride, for the first time in London 2023, a custom made logo was designed by illustrator Clare Eva Moran. It adorned tshirts staff wore who joined the historic march and was used as the avatar image across all our social media platforms.
This commemorative print, hand signed by Clare Eva Moran, features the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride flag colours within the dome of the Royal Opera Houses’ iconic Paul Hamlyn Hall. Flowers have historically been worn in Pride marches across the globe as an act of solidarity and remembrance. The Paul Hamlyn Hall is located on the site of Covent Garden’s former flower market – aligning the symbolic use of flowers with the organisation's history as it celebrates the wonderful LGBTQ+ community of staff, artists and visitors at the Royal Opera House.
