Max Richter -- Dance Music CD (Maddaddam)

Notify me when this product is available:

Richter’s breath-taking score for the visionary new ballet, MADDADDAM, by Wayne McGregor. The visually stunning three-act ballet adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian epic of annihilation and survival reunites creative collaborators from McGregor’s landmark 2015 ballet Woolf Works in a new work for our times.

The CD is a limited edition of 1000 copies, exclusively available at the Royal Ballet and Opera for the run of MADDADDAM.

Max Richter is one of the most influential and acclaimed composers of all time. His fusion of classical technique and electronic technology, heard across genre-defining solo albums and countless scores for film, dance, art and fashion, has won him legions of fans around the world and blazed a trail for a generation of musicians.

Absolutely rocks - better: insanely good (it’s not rock it’s groundbreaking)

I love everything Max Richter releases and after having seen the groundbreaking production at the RBO I had to have the recording. It truly doesn’t disappoint and the order and pick up process in the shop (to save costs but you can have it delivered too) was easy and seamless. Thanks 🙏

Another great collaboration between Max Richter and the Royal Ballet's Wayne McGregor.

I haven't seen Maddaddam yet, but listening to this album makes me want to (I travelled to London last year to see Woolf Works). I love both artists' work, but together they seem to inspire each other to reach new heights. A lot of what is on this album is what we've come to expect from Max Richter, but there are tracks that surprised me - do I detect hint of a John Adams influence? - and did not disappoint. I've been listening to it a lot, and like Max Richter's other work, repeated listenings only enhance the experience.

Beautiful album

This album is a masterpiece. It is delicate and stirring in equal measure, and only gains from repeated listens.
